PREVISTAR CPS

Terms of Use

Last updated: September 3, 2026

These Terms of Use govern access to the PREVISTAR CPS emergency-management platform and the PREVISTAR CPS Planning add-in for Microsoft Word (the "Services"). By signing in or using the add-in you agree to these terms. Where your organization has a written subscription agreement with Previstar, that agreement controls if it conflicts with these terms.

Accounts and access

The Services are for authorized users of subscribing organizations. Your account is provisioned by your organization's administrator, is personal to you, and must not be shared. You are responsible for activity under your credentials and for notifying your administrator promptly of any suspected compromise.

Acceptable use

You agree not to: attempt to access another organization's data; probe, disable, or circumvent security or access controls; misuse the Services to store or transmit unlawful material or malicious code; or resell, sublicense, or provide the Services to third parties outside your organization's agreement.

Your content

Plans, documents, and other material your organization creates in the Services remain your organization's property. You grant Previstar the limited rights needed to host, process, back up, and display that content in order to operate the Services, as described in the Privacy Policy.

AI-assisted content

Some features generate draft content or compliance assessments using artificial intelligence. These outputs are decision support, not professional or legal advice: they may contain errors, and emergency plans built with them must be reviewed and approved by qualified personnel before operational use. Responsibility for the final content of any plan rests with your organization.

The Word add-in

The add-in is licensed for use with valid CPS credentials. It may be updated from time to time; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated behavior. Microsoft is not a party to these terms and bears no responsibility for the Services.

Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but the Services are provided "as is" and may be interrupted for maintenance or by events beyond our control. We may modify features over time; material reductions in service are governed by your organization's agreement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Previstar is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Services, and its aggregate liability is limited as set out in your organization's subscription agreement.

Termination

Access ends when your organization's subscription ends or when your administrator deactivates your account. Sections concerning content ownership, liability, and disputes survive termination.
